Tutorial with Anna

Having been studying, contemplating and struggling over the past few weeks, my mind is changing again at the highest rate ever during this MA course. It is a good thing though, so far, since whenever I look back, I find my previous thoughts so naive and immature.

Today is the tutorial with Anna Gerber - I wish could have the tutorial earlier. She made very good diagnosis of my issues and concerns, and identified very precisely what my next step should be. I think I really need that - someone to really listen to my history and struggles, and tell me what is good and what is interesting about my practice. I guess I still lack confidence in my own judgment, and I always try to be too clever or too comprehensive before stepping further. This is a problem. After all, design is not only about thinking, it is more about making and doing, I should keep that in mind and putting more efforts on this aspect.

An useful advise from Anna today is, when it comes to defining the message, I should be careful about the difference between dilution and precision. I should also try not to overload the information and the methodology applied in my work, as it is important that my work can communicate with my potential audience.

Above are some recent experimentations.
